Does Garey House have indoor and outdoor locations?
Yes! We have 2 indoor spaces and 3 outdoor spaces.

What is the role of the on-site manager?
The Garey House site manager is responsible for watching over the property, being the venue’s point of contact for vendors, and to answer any questions that clients, vendors and guests may have. They are also responsible for any venue related tasks, keeping the restrooms clean and stocked during your event, and assisting with clean-up of breaks and spills, etc.

Garey House requires a professional day-of coordinator or planner, and we highly recommend selecting a vetted event professional from our list of preferred vendors.

May we bring in our own alcohol for our event?
Yes you may! However, no more alcohol than what is supplied at the beginning of the event may be brought in. In addition, all alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured, TABC-certified bartender and a host liquor liability policy must also be supplied by the client. Shots and liquor served “neat” or “on the rocks” are not permitted.

What are the requirements of my caterer?
All caterers must be full-service, licensed and insured. We recommend that you select one of the full service caterers off of our Preferred Vendors list. Off list caterers are permitted pending completion of a review and approval process, and incur a $250 administrative fee.

Security is required for all events. The client is required to hire a security officer through the Georgetown Police Department. Do you require event insurance?
Yes, Garey House requires the client to supply a $1,000,000 Liability and Property Damage Insurance Policy. Host Liquor Liability must also be included if alcohol will be served at the event.  We recommend purchasing through a company such as The Event Helper or WedSafe(cost ranges from $100-$175)

Animals are not permitted, except for service animals or with prior written approval from Garey House.  Upon staff approval, an animal waiver must be signed before allowing any animals on site for the ceremony and post-ceremony photos. All animals must be removed from the property once post-ceremony photos have concluded.
